  When it comes to healthcare, we Canadians have the belief that our system is world class. In some aspects, it is. In others, not so much. One such area is customer service. Dr. Roth needs to slow down and start "listening" to the patient (customer). During my recent visit it was as if he had a couple of Red Bulls before my arrival, and had no desire to hear any of the information I was conveying. My orthopedics did not fit any of my dress shoes, and his countermeasure was to buy new shoes. Really? That's the answer. It was my issue and not the orthopedics. Here's the surprise ending. After no intention to address my issue, as I was about to leave, it came to my attention (from another source in the office) the the original order was for "athletic" running orthopedics. They ticked off the wrong box!! They were built wrong!! Now I know why he asked if I was a runner. After he was confronted, there was no reorder or refund. If this was Walmart, Canadian Tire, or any other service oriented business, it would have not even been a discussion. In the end , it was criminal, yes criminal, that he kept my $600 (insurance, yes, but you and I pay for it in the end) and deliver a flawed product. Shame on you Dr. Roth.
